This is a form of adult acne often accompanied by redness, skin sensitivity, blood vessel formation and eye problems in addition to unsightly acne lesions. Rosacea typically develops anywhere between the ages of 30-50, although it can occasionally have an onset outside of this range.
What causes rosacea is still unknown. We do know that rosacea is more common in patients who had acne earlier in life, have a family history of rosacea, or are of certain ethnic backgrounds.
